Odawa Institute Anishnaabemowin |
Aanii, Migwetch gaabezhaayek,
A primary goal of the
Institute is to promote the living language of Anishnaabemowin. We have many
activities occurring that are surrounded by the language. We are currently
sponsoring Anishnaabemowin classes at the Tribal Health department on the road
behind Victories Casino. The classes are taught by Kenny Pheasant and have been
supported by donations from individuals and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of
Odawa Indians. An initiative we have been working on for some time now is a
curriculum that can be delivered over the Internet.
